Katy Hatton has been running Brownies at the village hall for almost 20 years. The numbers attending the group along with those going on to become Guides took a major hit due to COVID, but after a lot of hard work, the numbers of Brownies has fully recovered, and this is starting to feed into the numbers in Guides.
The packs have been working on completing their Gold awards which are difficult to achieve and so very few are awarded each year in the County.
For the Brownies, 9 of the girls have achieved their Gold standard which involved them having to complete 18 separate badges , and to do an additional 18 hours of additional activities, ending with them organising and leading their own Brownie meeting.
